Distinctly more red than the Villar d'Allen 20 year old served alongside, and with no green on the rim. Typical tawny VA tone on the nose, attractive but faint. Lighty fruity on the palate, with a fresh and gently acidic centre. Some heat shows on the aftertaste, with a slight bitterness on the very long finish. 86/100. 15-Jun-12.

Qv20Y: much brighter red than the VdA20Y, less nose, more heat mid palate. Sweeter though.
