From magnum. Deep, rich red, a fabulous colour, with some bricking showing; 75% opaque. Wonderful nose; full, rich and inviting with masses of red cherry fruit and an oily grapefruit. Medium impact, medium bodied with grassy tones on the mid-palate under a dry, red cherry. Very soft tannins and little acidity, causing a lack of focus and slight flabbiness. A long, dry finish with splendid cedary bite. Very approachable today, but with 20 years life ahead of it. 89/100. Drunk 11-Sep-12 after 23 hour decant.

SW77, decanted 7pm the previous day. Glorious dark red, 75% opaque. Nose had menthol, grape, and a hine of grapefruit. Taste started with heat. and some pleasant grittiness to the texture. Great length, fine port, but slightly hollower than perfect.
