Re: 1970 Warre
Mid red core, good rim; 70% opaque. A touch of heat on the nose, full of spicy tobacco. A very slight touch of VA, but rather light. Sweet entry, soft and gentle; flavours grow nicely on the palate with only gentle tannins. Hot aftertaste, soft red jelly baby finish before a bracing black licorice finish. 91/100. Decanted 9 hours
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.
2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

W70, Anduze decanting, opened 07:00, decanted 10:00. Dark red, 50% opaque. Nose of strawberry, lightly. Palate also strawberry, but slightly lighter than perfect — oh the joy of such fussiness. But soft strawberry to the very and delicious end. Rounded, gentle, big, lovely.
