Double decanted for 12 hours, then 3½ hours of proper decanting. The colour of burnt sugar, 60% opaque. Closed nose, some burnt sugar tones. On the palate there is rich texture, medium bodied. Gentle flavours show through a fading structure. Flavours dominated by burnt sugar and burnt orange. A touch of acidity shows on the aftertaste before a long - a very, very long - concentrated orange marmalade finish. Really rather good. 94/100.

F55. Brick red, 40% opaque. Nose of brandy. Palate soft and sweet. Heat late. Less big and rich than the W55. But despite being the junior partner, lovely. Slight mocha bitterness throughout.

medium colour, chewy, long long aftertaste, very slight bitterness/tawny edge but very faint, very nice port.
