Re: 1977 Fonseca
Sourced from El Vino stocks. Deep rich red, 90% opaque. Sharp and lively on the nose, but youthful on the palatte with quite a fierce attack. Sharp rapsberry acidity drives the structure, supporting soft and gentle fruit flavours. Glowing raspberry jelly aftertaste and a finish of modest (for this port) length. 91/100. Decanted 9½ hours
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.
2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

F77, I noting Anduze decanting. Red-purple, 50% opaque. Taste spicy, white pepper throughout. Mid weight, not-quite-ripe cherry, very long. Lovely juice. Later spearmint was found, strongly.
