English bottled - Avery's - beautiful bottle (means nothing to some, but a nice little extra for me)

great mature nose - red sour cherries, really pure, fresh and clean

umami taste, then a really interesting bitterness. Earthy, long, savoury, but delicious. medium bodied.

sweet late palate - long and vibrant finish with beautiful complexity

"the last proper sandman" (WS1)....and this really is good! Between the 2 of us, bottle is gone in 30 mins... (WS1: "we finish this bottle like champs!")

This is great port, moreover in really lovely condition
