1962 Niepoort Colheita (bottled 97)
Drunk with Verena Niepoort and Jose Rodrigo Nogueira at Niepoort last friday.
Very brown color with greenish notes. In the nose you get coffee and hazelnuts. Very intense, very concentrated. Still fresh. From the complexity you could get the age, but the freshness wouldnt let you gess it to be older than 25 years.
Mouthfilling, almost the same notes you had in the nose with an additionally package of dry fruits and other nuts. Very deep. The brilliant aftertaste lasts extremely long. A very close to perfect colheita.
