G66. Dark red, 60% opaque. Dense. Rich red fruit. Dense sugar and fruit. Wonderful, especially the density. But slightly closed another five years would have improved it, if that could be thought possible. Yes, too young at forty-six. There’s hope for us all.

Of the six points I could give for WOTN, this ’66 and the ’63 took three each.

Dark red with brown glints. The nose was also closed. The palate however was marvellous. Savoury with cacao. Still densely fruited. Surprisingly young and looking at jdaw's notes I see that we are firmly in agreement. Outstanding port. With time, could it eclipse the 55 for me?

Deep in colour, a lovely rich red; 40% opaque. Fresh red fruit on the nose, very attractive. Surprisingly youthful on the palate, with gentle tannins leading the attack before a big and lovely explosion of fruit. Lots of spice and sweet red cherries on the aftertaste and finish. Great length! Really good port. 93/100
