1959 Ramos Pinto Colheita (bottled 1973)

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Bottled 1973. An attractive honey coloured wine, pale orange on the rim. Very slightly cloudy - 20% opaque. Clover honey and kumquat on the nose. A touch hollow on the entry, with a floral and slightly volatile palate. Lots of honey over the top of gentle acidity. Lingering honey and lemon aftertaste and a gentle finish that shows surprising tannins! 84/100. Drunk 05-Dec-12. Decanted 1 hour.

Drunk as part of the Eclectic offline on 5th December 2012 at the Bunghole, Holborn.
