Part of the "Very Boring Offline" held on 3rd january 2013

From a half bottle, bottled in Oporto. Pale colour, burnished copper centre and a watery rim; 10% opaque. A slight medicinal tone on the nose, over bitter-sweet orange skin. Swwet impact, with a core of bitter acidity giving good balance. Burnt orange on the palate, with a mid-weight presence. A big aftertaste, then a long and fine finish of bitter marmalade. Once a fine port, now drying out and developing medicinal or rosemary tones. 84/100. Decanted for 1 hour.
