Drunk at the "Very Boring" Offline held in London on 3rd January 2013.

AHB, 3 January 2013: UK bottled by Newcastle Breweries. Deep red/orange in colour, with a light orange rim; 25% opaque. Lovely on the nose, with a gentle toffee apple and fragrant Cape Gooseberry—a sharper focus than the other full bottle of Ck55 on show tonight. Sweet and balanced on entry with sweet—perhaps over sweet—fruit all over the palate. An interesting slight wood-ash undertone giving a very interesting complexity. Toffee and red liquorice on the aftertaste and then a long and lingering sticky finish that still shows a hint of the tannins. Very fine port. 90/100. Decanted approximately 30 minutes.
