D70: red-red-pink, 40% opaque. Nose had big red plum fruit. taste medium-big with red cherries. Grade-A port. Bigger late-palate. Then my notes degenerated: ‟Fantastic. Smooth. Perfect. ✠“✠“✠“”.

From magnum. Mahogany red in colour, 40% opaque. Restrained nose, mainly showing alcohol and candied fruit. Silky entry with wonderful flavours. A lively, spicy acidity supports beautiful pure fruit giving a stunning palate and aftertaste - a hugely long finish. Very fine port. 94/100.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
