D85, decanted 17:00. Red-red-pink, 50% opaque. Nose had sweet eucalyptus, strawberry and mint. Maybe the mint ≈ eucalyptus. Taste I note that it was very dry, very very dry with some heat.
From magnum. By colour, this is in the early phase of maturity with the first signs of bricking on the rim. 80% opaque. Warm and very attractive on the nose with lots of mace infused plum or dark cherry - still a touch aggressive even. Soft and smooth on entry, with a lovely texture. Dry plums on the palate with some dry tannins that attempt to be aggressive and which are powerful enough to tingle but never to dominate. A long fabulous, dry aftertaste and a great length. Enjoyable, but in need of more time to finish pulling itself together. 91/100.
