Post by jdaw1 »

Taylor 1955, with which was toasted The Club, being The Club, at its annual Dinner on Saturday 26th January 2013. It came from the lot of ‟believed 1955” sold by Christies.

The cork was actually branded, ‟YLOR” and ‟55” being visible.

T55, at d+4h. Dark red, 50% opaque. Nose lovely, dark dry cherry. taste somewhat dry, with heat mid-palate. Cherries throughout. Good length, with heat. Big redness, lovely size and mouthfillingness. Excellent port. ‟Dow’ly dry.”

Also see SV99(left) and SV99(right).
