Red and youthful; opaque. Gentle entry, some spicy cherry and juniper. The fruit grows on the palate to deliver soft fruit and a pleasant mouthfeel. Very gentle with lots of red plums. Lingering aftertaste of gentle cherry. Very enjoyable. Past the sulky teenage phase. Served blind this was guessed to be Warre 2000 Bottle Matured LBV. 86/100. Decanted 7½ hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
