Re: 20Y Croft tawny, bot 1978
Cr 20Y tawny. ‟Diarrhoea colour, horrible”, I wrote, though less well spelt. Nose had sweetness. Taste was overwhelmed by acidity, and there was nothing to add to RLC’s ‟Shot to pieces”.

Re: 20Y Croft tawny, bot 1978
Described on the label as "Port of Great Age"; a wood aged port with a surprising amount of sediment in the bottle. Cloudy, mid-brown in colour. Gentle toffee and lime juice on the nose, slightly dirty. Dry and slightly harsh entry, with lots of acidity on the palate - but this is followed by a very pleasant sweet yellow gooseberry. The aftertaste is lovely and the finish very tasty. This was bottle number 12252. 86/100.
