1986 Warre LBV

Post by jdaw1 »

W86 LBV, at D+3hr. Lovely red, 40% opaque. Very interesting palate. Some red fruit early. Then bitterness, coffee-ish bitterness but not GC bitterness, mid palate. Then both late palate. Lighter than mid-weight. Fulyl mature, but not over-mature. Satisfactory home drinking.

The following evening it is softer, without the mid-palate bitterness, and a little blander. Still with good red fruit, not quite strawberry. Fine drinking; I am pleased with this purchase.
