1967 Quinta do Noval, though served blind as both ‟Loud Right” and as ‟#10”.

Dark red, 60% opaque. Nose had toast, and faint red fruit. Early palate soft and unctuous. Lots of heat mid-palate. Very good.

Having guessed #9, Loud Left as W70, I could persuade myself that this is W70 EB, and stored differently. Another hopeless guess.

Slightly cloudy, red centre with a rose rim; 50% opaque. Sharp fruit on the nose, well focussed but slightly sour. Sweet brown sugar on entry, but then sharp and acidic. Acidity dominates on the aftertaste, but this does eventually turn into a gentle and long lasting finish. Sharp and not well balanced but enjoyable nevertheless. 86/100. Drunk 15-Feb-13. Decanted 3 hours.
