NN87. though served blind as both ‟Single Right” and as ‟#11”.

Cloudy, red-red-pink, 60% opaque. Similar stink in nose to that of the #5, Single Left, with red cherry. I thought this bottle was a wrong-’un, though that opinion was not unanimous.

Bricking rim, deep centre, still 80% opaque. Stewed red fruit on the nose with the sweetness of the fruit dominating the first impression on the palate. Soft tannins and gentle acidity support a restrained fruit presence. Good palate structure and a big fruity aftertaste that gives way to a long birch sap finish that is rather enjoyable. 88/100. Drunk 15-Feb-13. Decanted 3 hours.
