W84 LBV. Orange-red, 25% opaque. Nose faint, with pleasant heat. taste strawberry. A hint of grit. Actually quite lovely strawberry-flavoured port. Could easily be a mature VP.

Interesting somebody guessed that this was Sandeman 1970, and that the 1970 Sandeman was Warre 1986 LBV. Hey ho.

Pale orange rim, light centre; 50% opaque. Sour on the nose, with lots of Angostura Bitters; but sweetness and light floral tones on entry. The fruit arrives late on the palate with lots of tobacco and hints of tannin that show some mid-life vigour. There is a lovely, lingering rose-hip finish. This is a light and elegant mature port. Served blind, this was guessed to be Cockburn 1967. 87/100. Drunk 26-Feb-13. Decanted 4 hours.
