On Decanting
Slightly leaky, cork broke but was retrieved from neck. Decanted very cleanly off surprisingly little crust. Nice bright red/pink colour. Some heat, plum, dark cherry and anicede. Quite light in the mouth.

Darker. Cherry nose with no heat. Same flavours but now with chocolate and mint on the finish. Very nice.
Today has been a very bad day. This may not see dawn

Thankfully, my Narcolepsy kicked-in shortly after typing the above note and I had only consumed one third of the bottle

Much darker and thicker than the previous evening. Softer flavours and, surprisingly, some tannins emerging that I did not detect before.
A very saisfying glass of port. Not stunning by any means but a very good everyday VP. It's past its peak now but doesn't seem to be going downhill in a hurry.
Score: 6-5
