T35: brick red, 20% opaque. Nose had a red-fruited sweetness. Taste very dry. Good size and structure, but the fruit has gone.

Mature, dark orange, 20% opaque. Concentrated cherry and cedar wood but less pronounced than the 1920. Soft, gentle entry, which develops into a rich and mouthfilling sweet candy-floss which delivers a range of flavours. Long, rich and sweet finish; lots of toffee and plenty of fruit. Fabulous. 93/100. 22-Mar-13. Decanted 1½ hours.
