Deep red in colour, just beginning to brick a little. Fresh fruit - black cherries - on the nose; very attractive. Slightly stewed flavour on entry, but plenty of fruit and the tannins are soft and gentle. Lovely development and complexity on the palate. Delicious finish with some lovely rich flavours and a long length. A great port to drink now or in 20 years. January 2013.

Thrilled to be reading this note, Ahb! I recently bought a store out of its half bottle supply (doing my part to fulfill the laws of Econ 001).

If you owned a bunch, how would you allocate them over time?

I'd spread 2/3rds of them out evenly over the next 10 years and the remaining 1/3rd over the 10 years after that. Restraint might be a challenge though, as it is a pretty good port.
