Bought from James Nicholson in Belfast. Opened to accompany the shepherd's pie I've just made for this evening..

D+0:
Slightly worried. The cork came out cleanly but was wet to the tip, even though it isn't penetrated throughout. The selo at the top of the bottle was slightly stained.
It's pale, still red but about 50% opaque. (see below)
On the nose this mainly has some mixed spice and raisins (like a light fruit cake). If you put your mind to it, there's a buttery vanilla to this, underneath.
It tastes rather thin right now. But we'll see how it opens up.

D+4:
Fruit & flowers have opened up on the nose and in the mouth, also it's darker than I originally estimated with the tiny amount I poured after I decanted; perhaps 60%. Still pale though, with bricking at the rim.
I tasted some VA at the finish. Definitely this is becoming quite 'tawnified' and oxidised. Very pleasant to drink but past its best.
Faded through the evening.

about 85? hard to say.
