1994 Ramos Pinto vintage port

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red, mature on the edge; 80% opaque. Little on the nose, closed on entry with the fruit showing up late. Lots of tannin and subdued fruit. Long and chocolatey finish. Still in need of much more time - and surprisingly showing more structure than the '97 Ramos Pinto! 92/100. Tasted at the BFT on 24 April 2013.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
