The first bottle from
this case.
Decanted one hour. Red/brown colour, 40% opaque. Some stink on the nose with toffee beneath. Light weight, very sweet with the flavour of flat, warm coca-cola. The finish is surprisingly long and quite interesting.
Not a promising start.
More later.

The two times I've had this it was, well best to say it never got last that "not a good start" phase

It is not as bad as it was, but it isn't what I would describe as good. I am currently drinking a small glass which is well chilled and it is acceptable.
Only eleven and three quarters of a bottle to go.

Here I described Offley '72 as "...marginally preferable to a glass of water..." That seems to be consistent with your views on this bottle.

If you bring one to an offline, I'll bring the
Cruz 89. On second thoughts, I might skip that offline!

How's about you and I send an OBV72 and a Cz89 to an offline we can't attend?
