Tasted March 2007:

These ports were tasted at ProWein, I only made short notes.

Quinta de Roriz 2004 VP
Nice contrentration and mineral freshness. Dark flavours woth liquorice / bay leaf. Very good.

Quinta de Roriz 2003 VP
Sweeter than 2004, more round flavours, almost jammy, and also hotter. I slightly prefer the '04

Quinta de Roriz 2002 VP
Lighter in the nose than both '03 and '04. It lacks the structure and 'fat' of the latter, but the fruit is good and the flavours very nice. Nice for the short / medium term.

Quinta de Roriz 2001 VP
Very full and sweet on the nose, with lots of red fruit flavours on the palate. Rather hot. This has the least dark flavours of the bunch, mostly red fruit. Seems a bit closed. Lovely long finish though.

Quinta de Roriz 2000 VP
Very dark with lots of chocolate and dark cherries. Fat, dark, full and still fresh; this is fabulous and my favourite of the bunch.
