2011 Warre

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Gentle aromatics show on the nose that was at its best on day 3. Satin smooth entry, with powerful mid-palate acidity that swamps the pure and clean fruit and dry tannins. The aftertaste is eye watering in its acidic intensity before a huge complex finish of tremendous length. 92-94. Tasted over 1-4 days as part of the extended 2013 tasting.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
