40% Touriga Franca, 36% Touriga Nacional, 14% old mixed plantings, 10% Sousao. Sourced from Quinta do Bomfim (35%), Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira (42%), Quinta do Santinho (14%), Quinta da Cerdeira (9%).

Dark purple with a narrow rim. Exotic sweet pineapple on the nose and so much more. Hesitant entry but a lovely soft texture. The palate delivers slowly but doesn't stop growing. Fabulous perfume to the fruit, which almost hides the tannins. Fragrant aftertaste and a huge, fruit driven finish. A masterpiece of a port. 96-98. Pop 'n' pour. 4 Sep 2013.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
