Ruby coloured with a little bricking on the rim, 70% opaque. Fragrant nose, attractice and full of fruit. Sweet fruit on the palate, modest body but very flavoursome. A lovely complexity of flavours on the palate - very fruit driven with fully integrated tannins in support. A slight hollowness on the aftertaste, thena long finish of sweet, almost candied fruit. Very lovely port. Served blind this was guessed to be Fonseca 1985. 93/100. Drunk 10-Sep-13. Decanted 4½ hours.

G70: cork extracted whole at 2½pm. Dark red, 70% opaque. Taste slightly burnt. Big dark fruit. Astonishingly tasting slightly closed and young, as if needing another decade in the cellar. Lovely.
