2003 Quinta do Noval Nacional

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

300 cases made. Deep red, still as dense as ink with a tiny narrow rim. Sharp and sour on the nose, showing tart fruit. A lovely contrasting sweet and smooth entry with a wonderful complexity to the palate as wave after wave of flavour, aromatics, spices and tannins floods the senses. Mace and all-spice dominate the aftertaste before giving way to a big and lingering finish. This is really interesting port with so much potential for the future. 96/100. Drunk 16-Sep-13
