With Andy Velebil visiting from California, it would have been rude not to. So we did, in The Bung Hole, on Tuesday 8th October 2013.

Ck70, decanted the previous evening. Red-brown, 40% opaque. Taste had heat and red fruit, definitely including cherries. Mid weight. Lovely, but too light to be of the first rank.

Mature red in colour, with a copper tone to the edge; 70% opaque. On the nose this smells of fresh rain on woodlands, a bit harsh with sour cherries showing strongly. Gentle entry, with gentle fruit and bringing gentle tannins. Nice elegance and generous fruit. Cherry juice on the aftertaste, before a spicy and enjoyable finish that fades quickly. 90/100.
