With Andy Velebil visiting from California, it would have been rude not to. So we did, in The Bung Hole, on Tuesday 8th October 2013.

Decanted 12.30ish. Level in neck, cork out in 1. Seems promising.

QH70. Red-brown, 40% opaque. Honey, and raspberries. Lovely flavour, mid weight, gentle heat mid palate. DRT rightly said ‟sweet”. Just in my voting zone, at a ½ point.

Warm brick-red colour, light rim; 40% opaque. Ripe, sweet fruit on the nose that shows nicely on the nose. Balanced entry, lightweight but with gentle sweet fruit coming through on the mid-palate gentle tannins. Nice elegance to this wine; a lovely fruit aftertaste and a finish which is lingering and very refined. Very nice port. 91/100.
