A wonderful nose that evolved through several phases over the few days it took to drink this port, starting with crushed blackcurrants and rose petals and ending full of sea air and pine forests. Great fruit presence, with an excellent density of flavour on the palate. Modest bodied, chewy and with a super series of flavours that show at different times on the palate. Fruit dominates the aftertaste and finish that underlines this is a very fine port. 92-94.

We didn't get to taste this yet, but have bought some! Had a very satisfying afternoon at Passadouro, tasting Passadouro ports (including a very, very good Reserve, and an excellent LBV) as well as the 2011 Vieira da Sousa, which was really good. If the 2011 Passadouro is available somewhere in the UK I'd like to buy more of it....
