Sour, grapefruit-like nose with sour cherries also showing strongly on the palate. A sour / bitter presence from the fruit mellows slightly with patience on the palate, and eventually sits alongside some powerful tannins.The finish is long and full of cedar-wood. 90-92.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
