2000 Niepoort

Post by djewesbury »

We held our second 'Port of Belfast' event in a room at the Lyric Theatre. We were very pleased to be able to host a tutored tasting of Niepoort wines and ports with Nick Delaforce.

Young, acid and fresh, very fruity. The nose was young, as was everything about this. Very good indeed, definitely not as evolved as the standard bottle tasted alongside it. I thought. Opinion was sharply divided as to which was better, though.
