Tasted 10.11.2003: I thought that this house had collapsed after Taylor bought their Q.d. Junco a couple of years ago, but they are back on the Dutch market. Although I really liked their ’92 LBV (tasted a couple of weeks ago), this ’82 VP did not show as well. A very light Port, almost pink, fading to colourless on the rim. The nose is sharp with dried figs. A glycerol-thick, sharp body with lots of raisins. Thin but smooth finish, again some sharpness. This was probably never a great Port, but it is now on the decline. Drink up.
