Fd83. Red, 40% opaque. Nose had wood and citrus. Acidic freshness in the mouth, but not complicated. Pleasantly drinkable, but not great.

Deepish brown, cloudy. Not a lovely nose: sharp and musty (that word could be minty, but I don't think I'd have been complaining about that, so I'll go with musty). In the mouth, very juicy, but quite sharp again, and unimpressive.

Brick red, 40% opaque. Wood ash on the nose, with sweet redcurrants and some dried sage—pleasant, interesting and attractive. Sweet on the palate, with lovely dried fruit—raisins and dried cranberries. Wonderful texture and flavour. Some gentle tannins remain in the wine, ripe and balanced by the fruit. The sage on the nose is also in the palate, giving a gentle aromatic bite to a tremendous palate. Gentle mace shows on the aftertaste and is followed by a great length. Very fine port right in its peak drinking zone. 94/100.
