D83. Cloudy, red-pink, 60% opaque. Nose had soap in several people’s glasses. Light, some heat, lemon soap again. Pleasant but not great.

Browny-red, about 70%. I wrote 'healthy' for the nose. In the mouth, caramel, dry, a biscuitish taste that I liked. RLC asked if this was fading.

Modest red colour, with a slight cloudiness in the centre of the glass; 90% opaque. Restrained sweet raspberry nose, but a touch empty. Sweet fruit entry with very dry tannins giving a very dry body. Good levels of fruit shows through well on the late palate. Very hot aftertaste, a vinegar core to the finish and the soft aftertaste. Other bottles of Dow 1983 have been much better than this. 84/100.
