Ugh. This was mid-brown. It was nasty and dull in the nose. It starts juicy in the mouth but becomes sharp and sawdusty. The Kopke being corked, it was agreed that this was the worst wine of the night.

Croft. Slightly cloudy and pale red-brown colour. Very gentle on the nose, a bit of fruit and milky coffee. Lightweight entry, light palate but a slightly watery texture. Soft coffee and some lychee sweetness on the mid- and late-palate. The coffee dominates the aftertaste, then a sensation of apples and apple juice before a quick fade. Not impressive. 80/100.
