1993 Quinta do Crasto LBV

Post by djewesbury »

After the BBR Port Walk, some people still felt thirsty. We arrived at the Bung Hole in time to eat some steak burgers and open some bottles that were wrapped in tinfoil.

Deep red and youthful appearance; opaque. Slight harshness to the fruit on the nose. Sweet fruit on the palate, early signs of softening and starting to be mature, but a touch subdued. Plenty of tannin on the palate, but this is balanced by the smokey fruit. The gentle flavours linger with their sweet fruit. This gently pleasant port was served blind and guessed to be Roeda 1995. NR.
