1998 Warre Cavadinha

Post by AW77 »

From a half bottle.
D+0h: smells of sweet plum, D+3,45 h: dark as ink, on the rim a little purple, smells of eucalyptus, pepper and liquorice, in the mouth not too sweet or semi-sweet, smooth in the mouth, tastes of liquorice, some pepper in the aftertaste, quite a long finish, 90 P. , I really enjoyed this port.
I tasted the Cavadinha from a standard bottle at the Graham's lodge in August 2013 and was not that impressed as I am now with the half bottle. I wonder how long I will have to wait until the standard bottle tastes like this. I will definitely order a some more (standard) bottles of the '98 Cavadinha now.
