D+0h: smells intensively of blackberry, D+4h: dark as ink, smells of blackberry, a little bit of eucalyptus and some violets, light body, not too sweet, tastes of blackberry and violets (the violets are more dominant in the mouth than in the nose, the port tastes more of violets than blackberry), blackberry in the aftertaste, mid-length finish D+4,5h: the smell of violets is more intensive now, it's now more dominant than the smell of blackberries, now the violets dominate the aftertaste, D+5,5h: the finish is longer now (at least 15 seconds), a good port, 90 p. (I learned from this to plan for a longer decant, so next time 4 to 5 hrs for a SQVP)
Personally, I didn't like the strong violet aroma of the Vargellas. I guess I prefer my violets to be in the garden.
