Deep purple in colour, youthful and opaque. Well developed nose with lots of restrained and well-packaged fruit that is perhaps starting to close down. Subdued on entry with the sweet fruit very much to the fore. Slowly develops a powerful fruit presence on the mid-palate. This has a lovely balance and generous tannins wrapped in lovely fruit. Sweet blueberry fruit dominates the aftertaste and sticky finish. Very impressive. 95/100. 2 hour decant.

This confirmed my view that this is a very impressive offer from the 2011 vintage.

Primary and big: aromas of crushed dark cherry and blackberry. Full on the palate, dominated by the same concentrated fruits as on the nose. This comes across as more linear than the F11 shown along side, but the purity and concentration of the fruit is so delicious it is impossible not to love this port. Very good effort indeed.
