Wonderful ochre red colour, very pale and mature in appearance - perhaps only 10-15% opaque. Wonderfully mature on the nose with spicy tobacco and cloying mandarin-sweetness. The palate is balanced, bringing sweet fruit and tobacco spice that turn floral on the mid-palate. There is a little heat showing on the aftertaste before a sweet orange acidity and gentle pepperiness settles in for the finish. Mature port, drinking at its best now. 90/100. Drunk at the BBR Port Walk on 28 November 2013.
