1983 Gould Campbell

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Deep red, looking to be in early maturity. Fabulous nose, rich and full of sweet fruit. Lovely texture; sweet fruit to the fore but with a lovely soft tannin support. Just so full of complex mature fruit. Some heat on the aftertaste and a long finish. Wow! This really is stunningly good port. 95/100. Drunk at the BBR Port Walk on 28 November 2013.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
