2000 Quinta do Passadouro

Made by Dirk Niepoort. Deep red in colour with a pale red rim; 90%. Subdued sour brambles on the nose. The bramble fruit with sharp acidity and supple tannins lies on the palate. This tastes and feels like a good quality traditional LBV, rather lightweight but pleasant enough. 85/100. Drunk at the BBR Port Walk on 28 November 2013.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
