Pale brick-red; 20% opaque. Very open and lively on the nose. Dominated by the spirit (the room was rather warm though) but plenty of fruit too. Nice entry with the fruit sweet and ripe but also a distracting bitterness. Good complexity on the palate making this an easy wine to sip but swallowing releases a fiery afteraste which fades quickly to a lingering quince-like bitterness of great length. 92/100. Drunk at the BBR Port Walk on 28 November 2013.
