From magnum. Deep brick red with lots of coarse sediment left in the wine. An odd smell - manure? TCA? Not sure, but certainly making the fruit smell dirty. Nice texture on the palate, but little else going for it; no fruit and lots of dry tannin. Dry and bitter aftertaste, but a sweet and slightly fiery finish. Not a typical showing and probably slightly contaminated by TCA flattening a normally fine, fruity port. N/R. Drunk at the BBR Port Walk on 28 November 2013.

Hiss!!

Shame, shame!

Should have been a damn good bottle. That's always been on my short list for wine of the vintage. Gould, Fonseca, Niepoort have also been highly memorable experiences.
