Burnt sienna colour, 30% opaque. Lovely nose, lots of aniseed and licorice over a sweet red pepper. Sweet on the palate; soft, sweet caramel and powerful mandarin orange sweetness mixed with a ripe, mandarin acidity. A huge burst of pepper on the aftertaste, then a very tasty burnt sugar finish before a stunning length of flavours - burnt sugar and burnt toast. Astonishing volume on the finish. 93/100. Drunk 28-Dec-13 at this dinner. Decanted 6 hours.

This was only my second encounter with this port and again it was a stunner! Thanks a lot to AHB opening it to this dinner.
